Vantage is recalling its PowerCore 20K portable chargers after reports that internal cells can short-circuit, overheat, and ignite.
What was recalled
The recall covers Vantage PowerCore 20,000mAh USB-C power banks (model VP-20K).
Products and models affected
- Model VP-20K (20,000mAh)
- Manufactured June 2024 – April 2025
- Black and navy housings with USB-C and USB-A ports
The model number is laser-etched on the bottom edge next to the charging ports.
Why it was recalled
A manufacturing defect in a batch of cells can cause an internal short during or after charging. Vantage has received 27 reports of overheating and 4 reports of fire.
What you should do
Stop using the power bank immediately and keep it away from flammable materials while you arrange a replacement.
Free Replacement
Vantage is providing a free replacement power bank from a corrected production run. Register the serial number online and a prepaid box will be sent to safely return the recalled unit.
