The hull identification code is molded into the stern.
Why it was recalled
A weak point in the hull layup near the seat mount can crack under normal paddling loads. Fjord has received 9 reports of cracking; no injuries reported.
What you should do
Stop using the kayak and do not take it on the water until you receive a replacement.

Fjord is offering a free replacement kayak from a corrected production run and will arrange pickup of the recalled unit at no cost.
