Owners of certain Keurig K-Supreme coffee makers may still qualify for a 12-month extended warranty under a class action settlement over allegations that the brewers could permanently lose power during descaling.
The settlement received final approval on September 30, 2025. A separate cash benefit of up to $250 closed in November 2025, while qualifying warranty claims remain open through September 30, 2027.
Keurig denies that the coffee makers were defective and denies wrongdoing.
Which Keurig Coffee Makers Are Covered?
The settlement involves these single-serve brewers:
- Keurig K-Supreme
- Keurig K-Supreme Plus
- Keurig K-Supreme SMART
The broader settlement class covers people who owned qualifying brewers during the period from October 1, 2020, through June 20, 2025.
The warranty benefit that remains available applies only to qualifying Coffee Maker Purchaser Class members whose covered purchase falls within the warranty-extension period and whose brewer first permanently loses power during descaling after June 20, 2025.
What Benefit Is Still Available?
Qualifying claimants can receive 12 additional months of Keurig’s limited warranty for a covered descaling-related failure.
Combined with the original limited warranty, this can provide up to 24 months of coverage from the purchase date.
Can You Still Claim the $250 Cash Payment?
No. The deadline for the Performance Issue Claim Class to request a cash payment of up to $250 was November 14, 2025.
The $950,000 settlement fund was established for those cash claims and certain court-approved settlement costs.
Who Can File a Warranty Claim Now?
The official claim portal says the open claim path is for Coffee Maker Purchaser Class members whose brewer first experiences permanent power loss during descaling after June 20, 2025.
The settlement agreement limits the warranty extension to qualifying purchases made within two years before the June 20, 2025 preliminary approval date through that date.
Claimants must also satisfy the remaining class requirements and cannot fall within an excluded category.
What Proof Is Required?
The warranty claim requires proof of purchase and information sufficient to support a claim under Keurig’s limited-warranty procedure.
The official claim portal advises claimants to have supporting documentation ready before starting the form.
A notice ID and PIN can be used to log in, but people who did not receive a notice can still begin the online filing process through the option provided on the settlement website.

For a qualifying brewer that first experiences permanent power loss during descaling after June 20, 2025, the claim must be submitted or postmarked by September 30, 2027.
What Was the Keurig Lawsuit About?
The lawsuit alleges that K-Supreme, K-Supreme Plus, and K-Supreme SMART brewers contained a defect that could cause the machines to permanently lose power when consumers followed Keurig’s descaling instructions.
Descaling is the cleaning process used to remove mineral buildup from a coffee maker.
Keurig disputes the alleged defect and maintains that it did not violate the law or any enforceable promise.
