Ricky Joy Recalls 2.3 Million Sour Crush Candy Bottles Over Choking Hazard

Ricky Joy Recalls 2.3 Million Sour Crush Candy Bottles Over Choking Hazard

The Ricky Joy Company is recalling about 2.3 million Sour Crush Rolling Liquid Candy bottles because the rolling ball can detach from the container and create a choking hazard.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on September 10, 2026. No incidents or injuries have been reported.

Which Products Are Affected?

The recall covers Ricky Joy Sour Crush Rolling Liquid Candy bottles in four flavors:

FlavorBottle Color
Blue RaspberryBlue
StrawberryRed
Green AppleGreen
WatermelonPink

The bottles contain 1.85 fluid ounces of sour liquid candy dispensed through a rollerball top.

They were sold individually and in packs of three or 12. The bottle label shows the Ricky Joy logo, the words “EXTREME SOUR” and “SOUR CRUSH,” the flavor name and an image of a green monster.

The recall applies to the rolling liquid candy bottles, not Ricky Joy Sour Crush gummies or other Ricky Joy candy products.

Why Were They Recalled?

The rolling ball can detach from the bottle and enter a child’s mouth, creating a risk of serious injury or death from choking.

What Should Consumers Do?

Stop using the recalled candy immediately and keep it away from children.

To receive a refund, register with Ricky Joy and return the recalled product using the prepaid shipping label provided by the company.

Ricky Joy says not to return the candy to the retailer where it was purchased.
